Kellie Mills

Kellie started working with Team Building & Team Development in 2003 and since that time, has developed a reputation as the ‘Team Whisperer’.  Over the years, she has been called in to work with teams who had slid into the Storming stage and didn’t know how to move through it.

Kellie is told that her key points of difference as a teacher/facilitator are her practical, no-nonsense approach and engagement level with the participants in the room. She believes this is partly because she does not use PowerPoint in her workshops. Instead, Kellie creates a safe and yet challenging environment where participants lean into behaviour changes through a combination of discussion, real-life work scenarios, and workbook-based activities.

Many managers, supervisors, HR professionals and staff at varying levels end up spending an inordinate amount of time dealing with challenging personalities, petty behaviours and unhappy teams  Becoming more effective in solving these difficult people puzzles will lead to decreases in bullying and harassment claims, and it can make the work environment more enjoyable and productive.

Using a no-nonsense approach, Kellie Mills, the Team Whisperer, will explore the causes and cures of team dysfunction. Using many examples from her experience working with unproductive and toxic teams, she will provide participants with some practical tools and access into Kellie's hands-on methodology. ​These recommendatons include some (often-needed) straight talk and personal accountability!

 Purpose of the Program:
Kellie wants her client organisations to be able to:
  • Kick-start newly forming teams in a positive and sustainable way
  • Identify any team issues early and have internal facilitators on hand to assist the team and manager to get back on track

Time Frame
This four-day program has both classroom workshops and online mentoring components.
There are 3 consecutive full days and then one single day a month later. This will be followed by four mentoring sessions (timing as required), designed to support each participant as they prepare for their team development workshops.
